
Cynthia Ann Crawford, born on 20th February 1966, is an American model, actress and TV host. In the 1980s and 90s she was a supermodel of renown who was prominent on magazines and runways, and also in fashion shows. She subsequently expanded into the business world and acting. In her sophomore year in high school saw her get an email from an apparel store in the local area regarding modeling work. Then she realized that it was a prank call by two of the classmates. Crawford was one of the high school students hired by another store who also did a fashion shoot. Roger Legel, a local photographer approached Crawford to take her picture. He was responsible for shooting another college student in DeKalb Nite Weekly. Crawford was chosen as the first cover. [9] She was encouraged to pursue modeling by the positive feedback and photo she received. She began her career with an agency with a small size. Elite Model Management bought it soon after she signed. She entered Elite's Look of the Year contest in 1983 at age 17 and was able to make it to the national finals.
